Mobile Bay Alabama

Cold today---I stayed snuggled in the camper while the humans explored the area. They checked out a huge state park at Gulf Shores (they counted almost 500 hundred campsites) and then drove to Ft. Morgan, a civil war fort built at the point where the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay comes together. It was cold and windy and not a good day for outdoor sight-seeing. They drove past areas where hurricane Katrina wiped out lots of beach and beach houses. Lots of rebuilding going on. They stopped for lunch at Lamberts, home of the hand tossed rolls. The wait staff actually throws rolls at you when you want another! (I bet I could have caught one---I love bread!). They checked out Fairhope, a community of vintage houses and lots of shopping. There are lots of flowers blooming all over downtown.

Tomorrow we are on the road again---probably won't have internet for a while. (My paws need a rest anyway!)

About Me

My photo
I am a Swantonian Bushcat. (I was born under a bush in Swanton Ohio),but my people think that I have a lot of Chartreaux in my bloodline because I pray for what I want, am very quiet, lay on my back a lot, and am shaped much like a potato on toothpicks.
