Wednesday

For the second time we've decided to extend our stay here in the Keys. We were suppose to be here 3 nights, then we added another and now we are going to stay until the week-end, if there is space. The temps are lovely and a breeze keeps the bugs at bay. Tuesday we spent the day on the beach and yesterday we went to Key West.

Key West is really something---lots (and I mean LOTS) of shops. bars and restaurants. There are 360+ liquor licenses in Key West and I think they are all in use! There were two cruise ships in port when we were there and herds of people everywhere. We took a trolly tour, ate seafood, walked a bunch, shopped and drank a margarita while watching the sunset.....beautiful day in the Conch Republic! Did you know that Key West seceded from the union in 1982? Check out more info at: http://www.conchrepublic.com/history.htm

Along with the Hemmingway Cats, there are lots of roosters and chickens running loose all over the key. I guess it is a $1,000.00 fine to kill a chicken!

About Me

My photo
I am a Swantonian Bushcat. (I was born under a bush in Swanton Ohio),but my people think that I have a lot of Chartreaux in my bloodline because I pray for what I want, am very quiet, lay on my back a lot, and am shaped much like a potato on toothpicks.
