Sunday

I guess it’s time for me to catch up a bit. It is a new year and time for new adventures.  So far, I haven’t had any new adventures, but I think the humans may have had a couple. Mostly they have settled into the usual routine here…beach, cards, eat out, hanging out with friends.
New Year’s eve was fun.  I could see the festivities from my window.  First lots of people brought hors d’oeuvres to share, then they had a dance.  The dance lasted longer than normal because they all stayed up until after midnight.  Ron played the music for the dance.  Earlier in the evening, he strung our Dish cable over to the gazebo so the guys could watch the football game during the dance.
New Year’s day they went to another potluck at a condo of one of the former residents here in the park.  They played a game there where the women were blindfolded and they had to find their husbands (who were sitting on chairs) by just feeling their legs.  (sure glad I wasn’t invited to that one---I don’t want anyone touching my legs!)

Ron has been going to Palm Bay to shoot twice a week.  They both joined a nearby gym and Ron has been going several times a week.  Nancy is going to the water aerobics class. (I still don’t understand why they even get into water, yet alone now do exercises in it!) For me, I have found the perfect exercise---stretching out in front of the heater when it is cold at night.
Last week they went with friends to a concert---swing orchestra and then at intermission they were joined by the full orchestra.  It is a free event that happens about once a month at the municipal auditorium.

Two guys came on Monday and put stripes on the truck. It really looks good and blends well with the camper.  Now I can tell Ron’s truck from the other bronze GMC trucks when he pulls in the campground.  I wonder if they will help us get to the next destination quicker…I’m still not a fan of long rides.

Bingo started Monday.  Usually I can watch it from the window, but it cooled off and Ron decided to put the tarps around the gazebo.  They were needed for the coffee Tuesday morning and for cards that night anyway.  Ron is the caller again this year.  There was a good turnout for the first one---may have to bring in another table for next week.

It was cool this week and then it rained really hard Friday.  Saturday was sunny and warm so the humans went to the beach.  Ron decided to try surf fishing.  They went with three other couples.  One of the guys was fishing and he caught a lot of fish.  Six were keepers (Four pompano, a spot, and a whiting).  Ron wasn’t catching anything, so he took a bathroom break, and as soon as he left, he got a bite!  One of the other guys landed it for him. They took a picture of it, because it was too small and they didn’t want to put it in the fish bucket.  No more bites for Ron the rest of the day!

About Me

My photo
I am a Swantonian Bushcat. (I was born under a bush in Swanton Ohio),but my people think that I have a lot of Chartreaux in my bloodline because I pray for what I want, am very quiet, lay on my back a lot, and am shaped much like a potato on toothpicks.
