Spring Adventure (Installment 1)

The Wilds

We are on another adventure and I haven't had internet—so I haven't been able to tell you all about it.  The weather has been beautiful and the trees are all in bloom.  It has been a beautiful  time to travel.  We left May 1 (last Wednesday) and started out by going to Salt Fork State Park near Cambridge Ohio.

Thursday the humans went to The Wilds, a wildlife park about a half hour south of Cambridge. The Wilds is one of the largest and most innovative wildlife conservation centers in the world. Located on nearly 10000 acres in southeast Ohio I stayed at the camper and watched the raccoon run around outside the trailer.

Then on Friday we moved to Punderson State Park in Newbury Ohio. The park isn't too far from our friends house in Willoughby Hills and the humans have left me alone during the day to spend time with them. I really haven't minded being alone---there are lots of campers in the park and lots of things to watch. We are parked along a lake and it is a pretty view.

They went out to a Japanese restaurant for supper on Friday.  It must have been good, because they didn't bring my any leftovers.  Saturday they went to the casino in downtown Cleveland.  Ron and Nancy broke even on the gambling, but the charge for parking was $25.00!  I don't think they will ever go back there.  Usually casinos don't charge for parking---let alone $25.00!  I think Nancy ought to write a letter to the owners and complain. Saturday night they went over to their friend's son house for supper.  Sunday was a lazy day, but it ended good for me.  They decided to come back to the camper and have a steak cook-out and play board games.   Left-overs---yum!  Monday was our last day here.  I've relaxed all day while they went to the Cleveland Zoo.

About Me

My photo
I am a Swantonian Bushcat. (I was born under a bush in Swanton Ohio),but my people think that I have a lot of Chartreaux in my bloodline because I pray for what I want, am very quiet, lay on my back a lot, and am shaped much like a potato on toothpicks.
