Wow, We have been in Melbourne Florida for almost two weeks and I haven’t written a word on the blog. I guess it is because we have been enjoying the unusually warm nice weather. We have had several record breaking high temps and no rain so far. We are back at Wickham Park. This is our fourth year here. This is the place with the squirrels. Last year they ate holes in our carpeting trying to get to the acorns. We don’t have the same site as the past two years, but this year we are tucked in under a big tree and it is keeping the camper really nice and cool. We don’t even need to put the awning out to make shade.

Ron and Nancy have been busy relaxing. They have gone to the beach almost every day. One day they drove up to Coco and walked around the village and snooped in the shops. Then Ron got a new hat at Ron Jons. Nancy’s cousin from Haines City came over for the day with her husband and after spending the day on the beach, they all went to Lobster Shanty in Coco and got yummy seafood. (Nancy got her favorite---rock shrimp. They call it the poor man’s lobster. I sure would like to find out what they taste like---but no one ever brings me any! Guess they are just too good to put in a kitty bag)

Ron’s brother and his wife were here for a couple days. They watched the shuttle launch together and then went out to eat at a Mexican place called Dos Amigos. They must have had huge servings because they brought back a big kitty bag. Another evening they went to a seafood place called Bonefish Willys on the Indian River and Ron brought me some grouper with brushetta. The launch happened as planned. R&N went to the beach early in the day so they would get a parking place and took along a picnic lunch. By the time the Discovery took off, the place was packed and they were 30 miles away from the launch pad. Unluckily just before takeoff, clouds rolled in and all they could see was about a half inch of flame just above the horizon. They did hear the rumbling of the rocket leaving. Getting back to the camper was a mess---bumper to bumper traffic trying to get over the causeway.

Ron and Nancy went to the flea market last week and then yesterday Nancy and Bobbi went. Lost of good things to look at. They even got some presents to take home. R&N were at a pet store in the mall last week and I got a new harness, so they have been letting me go outside on a leash a little. It is so good to roll in the dirt. I don’t understand why they have to wipe me down with a wet towel before they let me back in the camper. I think the dirt enhances my pretty grey and white fur.

About Me

My photo
I am a Swantonian Bushcat. (I was born under a bush in Swanton Ohio),but my people think that I have a lot of Chartreaux in my bloodline because I pray for what I want, am very quiet, lay on my back a lot, and am shaped much like a potato on toothpicks.
