Happy Valentines Day

Indian River at Sebastian
February is almost half over---guess I'd better catch you up on our travels.  The truth is, we haven't traveled at all---we are still sitting here in Wickham Park in Melbourne Florida!  My internal kitty clock says that it must be about time to leave, so each morning for the past week I've been hiding under the bedspread so they can't find me and stick me in the truck.  I have a feeling we aren't leaving anytime soon.  I'm enjoying the weather.  I heard the humans talking about some tickets they bought for the live "Sing-Off" show in mid March, so I think I'm safe for a while.
Announcements before breakfast. We had almost 70 attend!  Arrow points to our camper.
February Dance
Every week here is about the same.  Mondays Ron calls bingo at 1, Tuesday we have coffee and donuts at a camp-wide gathering, then pizza at CiCis for supper and cards in the evening.  They also play cards on Thursday and Saturday evenings. Nancy sews on Wednesday mornings.  Ron goes out for breakfast with the men on Saturday morning.   Every once in a while there is a special event. At the beginning of the month there was a dance and this past Tuesday there was a camp-wide sausage and biscuit breakfast. ( Ron cooked scrambled eggs for that event,)  Every other week Nancy goes out with the women for lunch and some of the men go somewhere else.  Most all of the events take place right behind the trailer, so I get to watch out the big back window.  Sure wish someone would have brought me some of that sausage gravy---sure looked good.

Birthday celebration with friends
Of course there is the beach and other neat things to see in the area.  Ron was shooting skeet and sporting clays on Tuesday and Sunday until his gun broke this week.  It is in the shop and hopefully will be fixed soon. Tonight they tried to buy something that he could shoot with in the meantime, but found out that Michigan residents can't purchase long guns in Florida.  That seems really strange since the Florida website says he can.  But, two different sporting goods stores said that only people from certain states may purchase long guns in Florida.  (Michigan and Ohio are among the states that are not allowed!)

Several weeks ago Nancy went to the med clinic down the road and when she came home she told me that she got shingles.  Now I'm really confused.  This RV has a rubber roof and nailing on shingles would only poke holes in it.  Anyway it is brand new.  I don't see any piles of shingles anywhere anyway.  What I do see is Nancy scratching her face and rubbing cream on it.  She did have spots on it, but they are going away now.  What am I missing?

About Me

My photo
I am a Swantonian Bushcat. (I was born under a bush in Swanton Ohio),but my people think that I have a lot of Chartreaux in my bloodline because I pray for what I want, am very quiet, lay on my back a lot, and am shaped much like a potato on toothpicks.
