January---First Half

Boy, I sure like being here in Melbourne Florida in January instead of Michigan.  We have had some cool days and a lot of rain a couple days ago, but it sure is nice.  I've pretty much shed my winter coat---guess we can't go home until it is warm so I don't have to grow another one.

My humans have been playing cards three days a week, eating out with friends and just having a good time in general.  Nancy went out with about 30 ladies last Thursday---they went to Olive garden.  Last Friday one of the couples that have left the park to buy a house had a hot dog roast. Last night they went to another pot-luck at the home of another couple that bought a house.  Tuesday of this week was fun.  They cooked pancakes at the corn crib (the park's community area) for breakfast .  Some people also brought egg casseroles, bacon and sausage.  The site we are in this year backs up to the common area, so I had a front row seat to watch everyone. come and go.  This week wasn't a beach week---a little too cold and rainy.
Toay was another big day- R&N went with seven others on a long bike ride.  They trucked the bikes to Rockledge and then rode them the 7 miles into Cocoa on a scenic road along the Indian River.  Once there they shopped in the hardware store, got ice cream and explored the historic downtown.  Coming back was easy---wind was at their backs.

This morning they took a couple of the neighbors here to search for manatees.  They saw a mother and a calf and now the other people know where to look for more.  It was a little warm today for them to come in out of the river.

About Me

My photo
I am a Swantonian Bushcat. (I was born under a bush in Swanton Ohio),but my people think that I have a lot of Chartreaux in my bloodline because I pray for what I want, am very quiet, lay on my back a lot, and am shaped much like a potato on toothpicks.
