Ruskin Florida

Campsites at E.G. Simmons
Osprey at our campsite
Wow, We've been in Ruskin (near Tampa) for four days and I haven't written a thing.  We are at a county campground called E.G. Simmons.  It is on a canal leading to Tampa Bay.  Mostly I've been keeping the humans company---especially Nancy.  The bugs at this place are terrible.  The humans haven't been able to spend much time outside.  The no-see-ums attack every time they go ourside.  I've been trying to eat all the mosquitoes I can see, but they seem to bite the humans before I can reach them.  We are leaving tomorrow---hopefully to a bug free place.  Bobbi and Harry are staying here for a few more days and we are heading out.

Sunset behind our camper
They went to Ybor City one day and rode the trolley to downtown Tampa and another day they went out to Anna Marie Island and walked on the beach then rode a bus that looked like a trolley out to the pier at the end of the island.  On they way home they ate at a seafood place (and didn't even bring me a sample!).  They have been taking turns cooking supper and tonight R&N made a salad with blue cheese on it---yum yum---one of my favorite foods.  I guess they are off the hook for not bringing me a kitty bag full of seafood.

The staff left early today and were gone a long time.  I was afraid they wouldn't make it back in time to prepare my supper---but they did, just in the nick of time.  They went to the Tampa RV show.  It is one of the largest shows in the country.  There were a lot of RVs there, every type you can think of.  There was one Prevost with a $1,900,000 price tag! I'm guessing I won't see one of those in our yard anytime soon.  Harry and Bobbi have more info about our adventures here on their blog....check it out at: Have Trailer Will Travel

About Me

My photo
I am a Swantonian Bushcat. (I was born under a bush in Swanton Ohio),but my people think that I have a lot of Chartreaux in my bloodline because I pray for what I want, am very quiet, lay on my back a lot, and am shaped much like a potato on toothpicks.
