Natez Trace and Mammouth Cave

We are home now, but I thought I'd better catch you up on the end of our trip.

While we were in the Florencre Alabama area we visited Helen Keller's birthplace and a really neat museum that featured the history of the area.

After leaving Florence, we drove on the Natez Trace to it's northern terminus and then continued North, finally ending up at Mammouth Cave. On the way we took a little detour and visited Abraham Lincoln's birthplace. I could see real well from the parking lot and watch the humans climb all those steps up the monument.

We spent the night near Mammouth cave. R&N spent their honeymoon there and they were able to find the cabin they stayed in! They didn't take the time to tour the cave (again). but we all enjoyed the pretty sites.

We were off again and spent the night in Indiana, before returning home. We are off on another adventure this week-end, so I will keep you posted.

About Me

My photo
I am a Swantonian Bushcat. (I was born under a bush in Swanton Ohio),but my people think that I have a lot of Chartreaux in my bloodline because I pray for what I want, am very quiet, lay on my back a lot, and am shaped much like a potato on toothpicks.
