Sunday

My friend that brings me treats commented to me today that I never put on the blog that we made it home safely.  I wrote the entry shortly after we got home and forgot to post it!  Here it is…plus a little update on our lives.

We are home!  According to my calculations we traveled 7789 miles, spent 148 nights in the camper and stayed in 15 different campgrounds.  So far we have pulled the camper a total of about 4500 miles.  Guess that is long enough for a shake-down cruise.  I’m glad to be home, but I have a problem….there is a mouse in my house.  I saw it a couple times and I keep looking for it, but I’m not sure if I really want to catch it.  I was really mad when we got home because the humans wouldn’t let me drink out of the sink.  Finally Ron moved out some of the kitchen cabinets , cut a hole in the wall, got some plumbing parts and said some of the words that he uses when I do something wrong.  Guess they worked, because after a couple hours there was water coming out of my favorite faucet!

Docks going in
The docks are in and so are the boats.  The big heron comes almost every night to sit on the dock and watch for fish.  The humans’ children come about every weekend, the grandson plays with me and scratches my ears in just the right places, and the neighbor comes on the week-ends and gives me treats……life is back to normal.

Skiing on his 11th Birthday!

We haven't taken the camper anywhere, but the humans did go to a surprise birthday for a friend in Painesville, Ohio.  A rocket car was rented for the people attending and the humans got to ride in it.  It used to be a ride at Geauga Lake amusement park.

I hear we are going on another adventure in July....

About Me

My photo
I am a Swantonian Bushcat. (I was born under a bush in Swanton Ohio),but my people think that I have a lot of Chartreaux in my bloodline because I pray for what I want, am very quiet, lay on my back a lot, and am shaped much like a potato on toothpicks.
