Happy New Year from Ocala

Christmas Lights in Ocala
I'm enjoying not moving for a couple days.  I was just thinking...this is my seventh trip to Florida! Tonight is our 293rd night in this camper and I think the 99th campground it has been in.  Wow, I've really seen a lot of different places.  Looks like tomorrow I'll be seeing yet another new place---we are off to Zephyrhills.

Ice Skating Rink
Last night I got left at the trailer while my humans went to downtown Ocala to check out the Christmas lights.  From the looks of the pictures, I think it was a worthwhile trip.  What I don't understand is that Nancy said that there were kids ice skating.  I thought we were in Florida and I know it is not below freezing.  There was also a huge tree that changed colors, like the one we saw in Mt. Dora last year.

Today my humans celebrated the upcoming New Year by going to Silver Springs and taking a ride on a glass bottom boat.  The state has taken over this old Florida landmark and it is now a state park.  People have been coming to the springs since before the Civil War and the glass bottom boat rides started in the late 1870s.  It is one of the largest artesian wells in the world.

Since we are moving tomorrow, we had pork roast (which I love) and cabbage (how can they eat that stuff?)  Then later in the evening they went and soaked in the hot tub.  Its cool here, but apparently the water felt good.  It's not quite midnight yet, but it looks like I'm going to have to wake them both up to wish them a Happy New Year!

About Me

My photo
I am a Swantonian Bushcat. (I was born under a bush in Swanton Ohio),but my people think that I have a lot of Chartreaux in my bloodline because I pray for what I want, am very quiet, lay on my back a lot, and am shaped much like a potato on toothpicks.
