| Sunset at Wickham Park Campground |
After we left Ft. Myers we went to two different parks that we have been to before. We spent four days at Whisper Creek in La Belle and then another four days at Buttonwood Bay in Sebring. Both have more permanent residents that transients like us. Both have nice swimming pools (Buttonwood had two!...not that I care to swim in even one of them). It was hot in both places, so the staff turned on the air conditioning for me during the day. Not too much exciting to report from our stay in La Belle. The humans went swimming, rode their bikes and read books. I slept a lot. When we were in Sebring, I got to see some of our friends from home. They live a little ways from us and when Kathy comes to visit, I always get a treat. They went out to eat together a couple times and Nancy and Kathy played bingo. Ron went shooting a couple times when we were in La Belle and once while we were in Sebring. One day they went to visit Nancy's cousin April, who lives at Bonnet Lake.

Now we are in Melbourne at Wickham Park until the middle of March. We took the scenic route and drove through Lake Okeechobee to get here. Nice drive through farm and cattle country. Things are sure different here. We have full hook-ups (yippee---They can let the faucet run so I can get a drink and not fill up the holding tank) and WiFi at the site and not just at a central location. The park has added 35 more campsites. We are in the same loop as other years, but at the other end. Today was an errand day. R&N went to the flea market and got some tomatoes (sure glad they didn't bring me any fleas...I hate that stinky stuff they put on me to keep them away.) We needed more tent stakes for the new (larger) outdoor rug, and table cloth clips and other little things. Tomorrow is grocery day.....wonder what treats they will bring me...........
